For many years, David Riggins was a strong supporter of the Christian School of Kingwood.  He directed his energy, his recommendations, and many financial gifts to CSK.  He believed that a Christian education was the very best investment parents could make in their children.  He was especially touched by those parents who sacrificed mightily (in spite of limited finances) in order to send their children to CSK.  When David passed away, significant monetary donations were made to the school in David’s memory by business colleagues, friends, and family members. That was the beginning of the David Riggins Scholarship Fund.

Each summer, people who are determined to send their children to the Christian School of Kingwood, but who cannot quite manage expenses associated with private education apply to the Administrator for financial support. Decisions are made by mid-July and then  monies from the David Riggins Scholarship Fund are used to benefit those students and parents whom David so wanted to help. Since David’s death, 7 to 10 students per year have been able to attend CSK because of his Memorial. All of us at CSK miss David Riggins, but we will never forget all of the wonderful things he did for CSK, and through the David Riggins Scholarship Fund, David lives on through the lives of the students who are recipients of these financial grants.
