The purpose of the Christian School of
Kingwood Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is to 1) promote the
physical, mental and spiritual welfare and development of the
students of CSK in their school, community, and home; 2) enhance
the educational facilities and opportunities for students of CSK
that are not otherwise provided for in CSK's operational budget; and
3) integrate the involvement of teachers and parents of students at
CSK in order to promote each of the foregoing.
The Executive Committee of the PTO
consists of the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary,
Parliamentarian, Parent Representative at Large and Teacher
Representative at Large. The PTO meets the
third Monday of each
month to discuss Committee progress and Activities as well as
monthly matters relating to CSK. The
open PTO meetings occur on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00
pm and the third Friday morning of each month at 8:15 am for those
who cannot make an evening meeting. Please come and help us improve
your school.

Week of February 22-26. PTO
is proud to sponsor a "Book Swap". PTO is
encouraging students to bring in 2 or more books from your
collection at home and swap them for one new choice to take home. The extra books
donated will help build the CSK library or
be donated to a local charity to help
their children.
CSK Spring Gala 2010 Update:
The Spring Gala is quickly approaching! We are getting more
exited by the day! The theme for the Gala
is "Rising on Eagle's Wings". Our speaker is
Dr. Glen Schultz, author of the book, "Kingdom Education" and
so much more. Glen is also an Associate
Pastor at Sherwood Baptist Church, which is the
church responsible for the movies "Fireproof", "Flywheel" and
"Facing the Giants". Dr. Schultz is
Superintendent of a Christian School and the
Director of the Association of Christian School
International. We cannot wait for you to
hear this great man speak! As usual, there will be many
wonderful auction items, including "A Day on the Set of The
Office", which includes lunch with the
cast and crew, plane tickets to LA and two nights in
a neighboring hotel. There will also be a dove hunting trip
and a deer hunting trip. Those are only
three of the "Do not miss!" items that you
will be able to bid on at the gala.
Eight Grade Fundraiser:
The eighth grade students will be selling heart balloons
with either m&m's, skittles or a small
stuffed pup with a hear attached. Proceeds
will help with the Eighth Grade
Graduation. Watch for the flyer to come home soon.
ABC's of reading and pajama day. This fun event in March will
be hosted by PTO and the middle school
students. Watch for details.
CSK PTO is also
selling spirit gear.
You can buy a water bottle, koozie or
window decal for $3. Please see any PTO member, or envelopes are
available in the office. Just be sure to
mark on the envelope the item you are
interested in buying.
CiCi's Family Night
Bring your family to CiCi's the 2nd Tuesday of each month for CSK
Family Night. CSK will receive 10% back
from any purchases made with the CiCi's
flyer that will come home with your children
