:Q: Why would I pay for a private school when the hard-earned property taxes that I pay already cover the cost of my child’s public education?

A:  That’s simple:  the increased quality of your child’s academic education and the inclusion of a spiritual education for your child as well.  As for the spiritual education, public schools are not only devoid of it but are prohibited from offering it!  At CSK, we not only give your child a head start with respect to the skills necessary for his or her secondary education and adult working life, we provide your child with a moral foundation for individual, family and social life as well.

Q: Why choose CSK over other Christian private schools?

A:  We are very proud of our students. Check out some of our Accomplishments for 2008-2009

Stanford Tests:

Stanford testing results place our students in the 80th to 90th percentile ranking, well above the average. Based on their scores, some of our 7th Graders have taken the ACT or SAT tests in the spring with high school students.

Daughters of the American Revolution essay contest:

Writing a research paper about the relevance of Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address to his time and to today, one CSK 7th Grader took first place in the state of Texas and read her paper at the DAR Convention. Her paper was sent on the national level competition.  Our 5th Grade to 8th Grade placed first, second and third with their papers at the local level.

Wordmaster:

Two of CSK’s students made perfect scores on the national tests and several only missed one or two. These tests are held three separate times during the year and over 230,000 students take the tests.

Rodeo Art:

Gold Medals and scholarships to the Glassell School of Art were won by two students at the Houston Rodeo Art for a painting and a sculpture. Some of the students won blue ribbons for outstanding entries.

Science Fair:

At the Middle and High School level of the Humble district, CSK students placed 1st or 2nd for their entries. Best of Show for the entire district, public and private schools, went to a CSK 8th Grader and the traveling trophy is in the school office. 2nd and  3rd place Best of Show went to a 6th Grader and 7th Grader.

Daughters of the Republic of Texas:

Fourth Grade participated with their essays and took 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. The teacher was also awarded a scholarship to attend the Battle of San Jacinto Symposium.

Renaissance Fair:

A 2nd Grade student achieved 2nd place with her essay titled, “George and the Dragon”.

PBS Reading Rainbow:

Another 2nd Grader placed in the top 10 entries for her story, “The Dancing Lollipop”.

Bible Bowl:

One student won 1st place in the testing about the book of John. Several others placed and the teams were all in the top 10 after a morning of exhibiting their knowledge and studying skill.

Duke University:

Some of our brightest students have been invited to participate in Duke University’s summer programs.

National Young Leaders Conference:

Several of our Middle School students have attended this weeklong conference held in Washington, DC. One student was invited to attend the inauguration of the President and went to a Ball.
